To effectively manage the storage demands of growing amounts of data, RS540-E9-RS36-E features a double-sided storage placement design with support for up to 24 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch drives in the front and 12 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch drives in the back, making it an adaptable architecture for diverse workloads. Two optional 2.5-inch SSDs enable in-server hybrid storage configurations, and two optional M.2 SSDs provide up to 2TB of additional OS storage.
